YAMAGA BLANKS BlueSniper 96L 2026
概述
[March 2026 Release]
Combining lightweight operability with powerful lifting strength — introducing the new “96L” model.

The shore bluefish game covers a wide range of styles, from expedition fishing targeting large fish around remote islands and offshore reefs to more accessible fishing from breakwaters and surf zones close to home.
At times harsh and even solitary, shore bluefish fishing has recently seen growing popularity in more approachable environments such as breakwaters and surf areas.
While “accessible” may sound easy, these fields are anything but simple. That is precisely why anglers need a rod that is both easy to handle and highly dependable. One answer to that demand is the new Blue Sniper 96L arriving in 2026.
The Blue Sniper 96L was designed specifically for breakwaters, offshore embankments, and surf environments, concentrating the performance needed to make everyday shore bluefish fishing more comfortable and reliable. Built around the highly versatile 20–40g class metal jigs commonly used in nearby fields, it features a light and responsive tip and belly section that allow smooth operation from casting and jerking to steady retrieves.
At the same time, the butt section delivers deep bending power and resilience, enabling stable fights against species prone to tearing hooks free—such as Spanish mackerel and bonito—while also reducing the risk of fine-wire hooks bending out.
The greatest appeal of the Blue Sniper 96L lies in this balance between light handling and confidence-inspiring power.

Blue Sniper 3kg Static Load Comparison & Reel Balance
This comparison chart shows the bending characteristics of six models in the Blue Sniper shore bluefish series under a 3kg static load.
The “strength” of these blanks is defined not simply by stiffness, but by repulsive force and recovery power. Because of this, the bend profile seen under static load does not always directly reflect the actual in-field feel or fighting power of the rod.
96L

The new 96L appears to bend deeply in the static load comparison, but it is by no means underpowered. It bends smoothly even with smaller bluefish, allowing enjoyable and stable fights, while during casting the entire rod loads and unloads efficiently to produce a light, fatigue-free casting feel. Despite being a light-class rod, the butt section retains strong resilience and recovery power during fights—making it fully deserving of the Blue Sniper name.
103ML-M
This model combines the characteristics of the previous 103L, 96ML, and 100M into a single rod with improved casting performance. Under load, the rod bends naturally throughout the blank, allowing it to absorb powerful runs smoothly during fights.
100M-MH
A highly versatile and well-balanced model that merges the most frequently used M and MH power classes into one rod. As shown by its natural curve under static load, it offers excellent adaptability for both jig and plug applications.
96H
Although the static load comparison makes it appear similar in butt power to the 100M-MH, this is because the shorter length concentrates an extremely responsive “bend-and-return” characteristic. During actual fights, its recovery power under load is unmistakably H-class, delivering tremendous lifting strength.
PL109MH
Designed with a tip-to-belly section that bends naturally while retaining a powerful butt section. This preserves pencil lure operability even in difficult conditions. Once hooked up, the strong butt controls the fish efficiently and delivers lifting power beyond what is normally expected from an MH-class rod.
PL106H
Its tip follows loads naturally, dramatically reducing action errors when working diving pencils. Under heavy fighting loads, the rod bends smoothly while maximizing both recovery force and butt resilience, resulting in a rod purpose-built to confidently land large bluefish.
The static load comparison does not represent every aspect of the rod’s characteristics. The images show rods with reels attached and weights suspended statically. Instantaneous recovery force and lure operation feel are not reflected. Please use the comparison only as a reference for rod power and action.
