Beams calmer (Calmer)

The Beams calmer was engineered to push the limits of casting performance for an eging bait rod, while locking in the crucial pillars of lightweight handling, high sensitivity, and effortless jerking (Shakuri).

• Extreme Weight Reduction: By utilizing micro-guides and a 3-piece carbon blank configured with a spigot ferrule (reverse-parallel joint) design, we have achieved an incredibly slim profile and drastically reduced overall weight.
• High Sensitivity & Incredible Distance: Built with a philosophy similar to our highly acclaimed inte series, the calmer bends beautifully yet retains extreme sensitivity. This is achieved by placing high-modulus carbon on the outer layer of the blank to transmit vibrations flawlessly across the joints. To achieve its deep bend, low-modulus carbon is layered into the core of the blank. This low-modulus core loads deeply during backcasts, while the high-modulus outer skin snaps back with blistering recovery speed. Even when recording and playing back casts in slow motion on modern smartphones, the blank's recovery is too fast for cameras to capture. The gap in casting distance between this bait setup and traditional spinning tackle has officially been closed.
• Ergonomic, Pain-Free Jerking: Repeatedly jerking an eging rod using conventional reel seats can often cause discomfort or pain in the palm over time. The calmer solves this with an innovative hybrid grip: only the trigger portion of the reel seat is made of rigid resin, while the sections immediately in front and behind it are wrapped in ultra-thin, soft EVA. This eliminates hard plastic-to-skin contact. Pair it with a modern baitcasting reel, and you will be amazed at how comfortably and securely it nests in your hand.

• Aggressive Action with Minimal Effort: Just like the autumn-focused 8.0ML, the mid-section (belly) of the 8.6M bends deeply. However, to accelerate its recovery speed, the blank features a precisely controlled blend of high-modulus and mid-to-low modulus carbon. As a result, even with minimal physical effort, the rod's mid-section loads easily and automatically snaps back with authority—doing the heavy lifting of the jerking motion for you.
• Crisp Feedback: This crisp, spring-like elasticity translates to outstanding sensitivity, making bottom-contact detection—one of the primary advantages of baitcasting—incredibly sharp and effortless to feel.

Important Customer Notice: Joint Maintenance

Due to the physical nature of multi-piece travel rods, joints can naturally loosen after repeated casting. Casting with loose joints can cause severe damage or rod breakage.

• Recommendation: We highly recommend applying Ferrule Wax to the joints. This prevents sections from slipping off during casting, blocks water intrusion, and prevents the joints from binding/seizing up.
• Best Practice: Always check that all joints are securely seated after your first few casts, and regularly throughout your session.
