概述

For those who are truly dedicated to bass fishing.

For anglers who place bass fishing at the very core of their lifestyle—products that resonate with people who take bass fishing seriously. This concept embodies the unspoken passion of DAIWA’s development team, striving to create a heartfelt brand that shares DAIWA’s uncompromising commitment to bass fishing through both products and messaging. To achieve this, DAIWA pours its technology and philosophy into every detail with uncompromising dedication.

Not just rods. Not just reels. But everything needed to face bass fishing head-on—crafted with purpose. Together with the burning passion of serious bass anglers… that is STEEZ.
Beyond “sensitivity.”

26 STEEZ – Competition Rods That Visualize the Underwater World

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the 26 STEEZ series is a competition-grade rod lineup that brings underwater awareness to life. The 21 STEEZ, which underwent a full model change after 15 years, has now been reborn with the latest technologies.

The development concept is “Senrigan” (Clairvoyance).
The eternal theme of rods: sensitivity.

In recent bass fishing scenes, live shooting techniques utilizing FFS (Forward Facing Sonar)—which enables real-time underwater visualization—have gained widespread attention.

What 26 STEEZ aims for is not only performance from a boat, but also from the bank, and even without FFS. By pushing rod sensitivity to its absolute limit, it allows anglers to feel underwater conditions as if peering directly beneath the surface—detecting lures that could not be sensed before, controlling them exactly as intended, and converting that information into bites that were previously impossible. The result is a rod that makes bass fishing more enjoyable than ever.

All models feature detachable handles for improved usability and deliver trusted MADE IN JAPAN quality.

DAIWA Technologies

AGS (Air Guide System)

AGS utilizes carbon frames to achieve extreme lightness and high sensitivity. Compared to titanium, carbon offers approximately three times the rigidity, transmitting even the faintest signals through the line directly to the blank without loss. The lightweight nature of carbon improves swing speed and accelerates tip recovery, significantly enhancing casting distance and control accuracy.

CWS (Carbon Wrapping System)

A proprietary DAIWA technology for fixing guides and reel seats to the blank. Instead of thread, tightly woven carbon cloth is used, reducing weight at attachment points while improving holding power (torsional rigidity) and durability (crack resistance). The distinctive carbon-cloth appearance also enhances visual presence.

SVF COMPILE-X Nanoplus

An ultra-dense, muscular blank structure made by drastically reducing resin and densely packing graphite fibers. The result is exceptional stiffness and tension, enabling outstanding information transmission and “hands-on” underwater sensitivity. Reduced resin means lighter weight and increased power—allowing rods to be lighter at the same power, or slimmer at the same power and weight. Essential for techniques requiring instant reaction to bites, this blank delivers sharp sensitivity and powerful butt strength. Its slim profile improves casting accuracy and reduces fatigue, making all-day fishing possible. Nanoplus technology further evolves this high-performance blank.

SVF Nanoplus

Combines ultra-high-density SVF carbon—delivering lightness, power, and slim profiles—with Toray’s Nano Alloy technology using DAIWA’s proprietary manufacturing process, achieving even greater strength and weight reduction.

X45 Full Shield (X45 Cobra Shield)

A structure that suppresses rod twist during casting, action, hook-setting, and fighting by tightening the outermost layer with 45° carbon bias cloth from the tip, where torsion is greatest. This dramatically improves torsional rigidity, enhancing casting accuracy and allowing the rod’s inherent performance to be fully realized.

3DX

A support structure focused on recovery power. A stable, high-resilience honeycomb structure is applied to the outer circumference to enhance shape recovery. As a rod bends, its cross-section tends to flatten; stronger restoring force back to a true circle improves tip stability, casting consistency, and overall distance.

MEGA TOP

A carbon solid tip in which fibers and resin are evenly distributed, bending uniformly in all directions. Compared to conventional carbon solids, strength is dramatically improved, allowing for thin, flexible, high-taper tips that excel in both tactile and visual bite detection.

ZERO_SEAT

A reel seat design philosophy aimed at eliminating stress and maximizing pure enjoyment. ZERO_SEAT seeks a balance of fit, lightness, and operability through exhaustive real-world testing.

Product Details

Forged Carbon–Style Design (First for DAIWA Rods)

Introduced for the first time on a DAIWA rod.

  • Upper: Name section
  • Lower: Separate section (between nut ring and rear grip)

ZERO SEAT (Air Beam Seat)

Designed to achieve “stress zero,” to the point where the angler forgets the reel seat itself. Optimized balance of fit, lightness, and control through extensive on-the-water testing.

Grip Configuration

Standard setup features a cork foregrip and EVA rear grip.
Some models feature EVA foregrips as well (S66L only).

Foregrip Shape (Finesse Models)

Slim-type foregrips for finesse spinning models.
Cigar-type cork foregrips with tapered tips are used on S60XUL-SV・ST and S64UL, making it easy to place the index finger along the blank and enabling precise control with minimal step between blank and grip—even in three-finger to full-finger palming styles.

Foregrip Shape (Versatile Models)

Flared-type foregrips for power-oriented versatile spinning models.
Used on S66L (EVA), allowing a secure hold even with a light grip. The contoured shape supports the index finger as a pivot point, enabling precise rod action input.
