A BLJ-Dedicated Rod Designed for Stable Retrieve Hook-Ups!
Featuring a supple tip that won’t knock away delicate Spanish mackerel bites and a powerful butt section capable of handling yellowtail and other strong pelagic species. The grip length is carefully tuned—long enough for stable under-arm cranking, yet short enough for easy casting. Guide sizing is set between standard Light Jigging (LJ) and Light Casting (LC) rods, improving line release during casting and greatly reducing trouble such as tip wraps and line breaks. A convenient center-cut 2-piece design provides excellent portability without sacrificing performance.
DAIWA TECHNOLOGY
X45
Casting, lure action, hook-setting, and fighting all generate blank twist. After years of research, Daiwa concluded that adding ±45° bias-crossed carbon fibers—on top of the traditional 0° and 90° structure—is the optimal way to eliminate twist. With X45, twist is suppressed, dramatically improving power, operability, and sensitivity.
AIR SENSOR SEAT
A reel seat reinforced with carbon fiber for weight reduction, high strength, and high sensitivity. Each configuration is custom-designed for the rod’s intended use, providing operability unattainable with generic reel seats.
V-JOINT
Carbon sheet with a bias structure is used at the joint section, creating a bend curve nearly identical to that of a one-piece rod. Compared to rods without V-JOINT, power, rigidity, and recovery speed are significantly improved, producing ideal rod action.
HVF Carbon
Daiwa emphasizes not only high-modulus carbon fibers but also reduced resin content—the “unnecessary fat” that binds fibers together. By minimizing resin and increasing carbon density, High-Density HVF Carbon produces a more muscular, powerful blank ideal for rods where strength and resilience are critical.
PRODUCT DETAILS
A basic model that fuses all performance elements required for BLJ (Blade Jigging) at a high level. Constructed with high-density HVF carbon and reinforced with X45 to eliminate twist. Designed to remain stable even during high-speed retrieves. The supple tip prevents Spanish mackerel from bouncing off the hook, while the powerful butt section has the strength needed for battling larger pelagic fish.
Large-diameter guides are used to improve casting performance and dramatically reduce line breaks and jig losses caused by line wrapping.
Additional Features
Premium-design name section
Thick, straight grip profile that is easy to hold during high-speed retrieves, fighting, and all BLJ scenarios
Underarm-holding friendly shape and 160 mm length for secure stability
Grip length optimized for both casting ease and secure handling
Large-diameter guides significantly reduce line trouble during casts
