Inheriting the CERTATE lineage, the CERTATE SW (8000/10000/14000/18000/20000) is born to tackle the giants of the ocean.

Its most distinctive feature is its adoption of the same next-generation large spinning reel design concept as the SALTIGA – a power-driven design. This design consists of two main technical units: the body unit [power drive engine] and the rotor unit [power drive rotor]. The [power drive engine] comprises two technologies: a large-diameter [oversized power digital gear] and a [roller-driven oscillating system] that significantly reduces frictional resistance in the oscillating mechanism. These two technologies are integrated into a large, all-metal (AL) monocoque body, allowing the reel to exhibit lightweight characteristics from the moment of activation and deliver more efficient and powerful retrieval force. Based on the [Power Drive Engine], the front unit utilizes a [Power Drive Rotor]. The rotor is made of the same ZAION material used in the CERTATE series. The thickened rotor, following a rational spherical structure, not only improves rigidity compared to its predecessor (21CERTATE SW) but also achieves a lower inertia value than the comparable SALTIGA model. This design allows for smooth and quick line reeling during single-section casting and provides highly responsive and comfortable lure handling in complex lure-feeding maneuvers.

Furthermore, the synergy between the [Crank-Powered Reel] and the [Durable Borewheel System] mounted on the rotor enables precise line release and smooth reeling transitions. In the ever-changing casting situations, such as sudden bird takeoffs or thrashing fish, casting performance is crucial for victory. The LC-ABS SW features a double-tapered design on the upper side of the spool winding section facing the spool ring. This not only reduces frictional resistance for a smooth casting feel but also enhances release efficiency in the later stages of the cast, providing a powerful final push. To prevent splashing from waves and sea breezes that could cause saltwater seepage, the waterproof gasket at the reel handle joint has been improved. Combined with the magnetic oil waterproofing on the pinion and guide reel sections, it achieves waterproof performance sufficient to withstand harsh sea conditions. It fully inherits the Yamato-exclusive cutting-edge technology found in the CERTATE series, including an all-metal (AL) monocoque chassis and magnetic oil waterproofing technology. To completely prevent mold flipping during casting and improve durability, a manual return mechanism is used to prevent the mold from flipping when the handle is turned.
