BLUE BLUE Barki 604
概述
“BARIKI”

The true appeal of bluefish jigging lies in the raw, manual feel of the technique—the crushing strike that pins down your hand in mid-jerk, and the act of making the fish bite by controlling the rhythm and intensity of your own jigging. It’s not simply about dropping or reeling; it’s about actively working the lure yourself. That sense of hands-on control is one of the greatest pleasures of bluefish jigging.
While we’d like to say this style of fishing has become easy and effortless, there are elements that haven’t changed—even as tackle and materials have evolved and become lighter. What this style of fishing still demands is the angler’s unbreakable will and raw power (stamina) to keep jigging.
Going against the times, we believe bluefish jigging still requires the mental toughness and physical strength of an old-school, athletic mindset. That belief is embodied in the rod’s name: BARIKI (Horsepower / Power).
Target Species & Fields
Designed to be used confidently across a wide range of waters—from BlueBlue’s home grounds in the outer and southern Bōsō Peninsula (Chiba Prefecture) to fishing grounds stretching from Hokkaido to Kyushu—BARIKI is a bluefish jigging rod built to serve anglers for many years.
Target species include yellowtail (Buri / Warasa), yellowtail kingfish (Hiramasa), and amberjack (Kampachi). The rod has been engineered to confidently battle fish exceeding 10 kg, delivering both power and control.
Because it is impossible for a single rod to perfectly cover two fundamentally different performance demands, BARIKI clearly separates these characteristics into two distinct models, eliminating hesitation when choosing the right rod.
Do you want to move the jig strongly and aggressively, or smoothly and naturally?
Even with the same jigging motion, changing the rod alone can dramatically affect your results—something BARIKI makes clear.
BARIKI 604
High-response model for actively driving the jig
One of the greatest thrills of bluefish jigging is forcing a reaction bite by making the jig slide aggressively, triggering fish that are not yet switched on. The BARIKI 604 excels at clearly transmitting power to the jig, making it ideal when you need strong, decisive movement.
This model is especially effective when:
- You want to move the jig aggressively
- Fishing in depths over 50 meters
- Dealing with fast currents
- Working heavier jigs that require firm control
Its high-response nature ensures the jig reacts instantly and decisively to every input.
BARIKI 632
Low-response model for suppressing excessive jig action
In heavily pressured inshore waters, fish increasingly shy away from jigs that move too much. The BARIKI 632 is designed to intentionally dampen excessive jig movement, allowing the metal jig to swim smoothly with a refined, natural action.
By softening sharp inputs and rounding off the jig’s motion, this rod enables:
- More natural presentations
- Subtle, controlled jig action
- Increased effectiveness in high-pressure conditions
It’s the ideal choice when restraint and finesse outperform aggression.
