GAFF-R is a versatile hook for slow jigging. The hook point is designed to reduce the contact area when penetrating fish. The sharp triangular shape keeps the important hook point long and allows the weight of the jig to penetrate the fall byte. In the case of the GAFF-R, the most stressful part of the hook is the vent curve. In the case of GAFF-R, by adding 20% deformation to the most loaded vent curve, the softness and strength are set to work at their best. Unlike conventional round hooks, the special depression in the back of the hook shank holds the assist line firmly in place, preventing hook slip.
