ABU GARCIA Works Zenon Mg 32mm 8lb-50m Spool

ZENON BEAST6 compatible 32mm magnesium spool. Available in a shallow spool (8lb-50m) and a deep spool (12lb-100m). While using magnesium, a special surface treatment provides corrosion resistance suitable for saltwater use. The cam-type movable plate and magnesium material further improve castability!
This is an optional part that can be used as a replacement for the original part.

Magnesium Spool
By using magnesium, a lightweight material also used in the bodies of high-end reels, for the spool, we have achieved an ultra-lightweight design with an average weight of approximately 9.1g for the Mg 32mm Spool. This is approximately 36% lighter than the original ZENON Core spool. A lighter spool reduces the moment of inertia, making it easier to increase rotation speed and cast lightweight lures used in bait finesse fishing. Mg 32mm Spool Line Capacity: 0.235mm (8lb)-50m / 0.285mm (12lb)-100m.

SW Compatible
Magnesium material has low corrosion resistance and is not suitable for saltwater use. However, through a special surface treatment, corrosion resistance suitable for saltwater use has been achieved.
*Regarding saltwater use, please check the saltwater compatibility of the reel body used.

Cam-Type Movable Plate
A cam-type movable plate is installed on the brake side. As the spool rotation speed increases, the movable plate pops out towards the brake side. By increasing the magnetic flux lines hitting the movable plate, it is possible to apply stronger braking at high rotation speeds. When the spool rotation speed decreases, the movable plate returns to its original position, weakening the brake and achieving longer casting distance in the latter half of the cast. This achieves both braking force that suppresses the initial rotation and longer casting distance in the latter half of the cast.

Ceramic Ball Bearings
Ceramic ball bearings are used in the spool shaft. This provides excellent rotational start-up and a comfortable casting feel.
