AIRDRIVE DESIGN
AirDrive Design is a next-generation spinning reel design concept that pursues the angler's desired lure control. AirDrive Design is comprised of up to four technologies. The Air Drive Rotor, which provides light reeling and highly responsive rotation, is a prerequisite for this reel. It features a lightweight, trouble-free Air Drive Bail, a thin-walled Air Drive Spool with minimal unnecessary material, and an Air Drive Shaft with a high-precision collar and non-contact pinion gear design for light reeling with minimal rotational noise, even under heavy loads. The synergistic effects of these features, combined with the improved weight balance of the reel, deliver superior operability.

Air Drive Rotor
Using a unique theory, we've derived a new shape that appears to have been carved out of a sphere. By thoroughly removing unnecessary material, we've achieved a significant weight reduction while maintaining rigidity. This dramatically improves reeling, leading to improved operability and sensitivity.

AIRDRIVE BAIL
The Air Bail, which features a hollow pipe structure for both rigidity and lightness, has been made even lighter while maintaining the necessary strength. The bail angle is tilted to an optimal angle, allowing the line to transition more smoothly from the bail to the line roller. This results in even lighter weight and trouble-free operation.

ZAION V
Make reels lighter and stronger. The carbon hybrid resin developed for this purpose is ZAION V (Buoy). By precisely controlling the amount of carbon used in the hybrid, it achieves a lightness that surpasses that of metal and strength comparable to that of metal, while also providing versatility that allows it to be installed on a wide range of reels. It inherits the essence of ZAION, which can be said to be the maximum specification of carbon hybrid resin.

MAGSEALED
DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a magnetic mag oil barrier in the gap between the body and rotor, shutting out seawater, dust, and other elements.
