This leader was developed for practical use and provides a high balance of flexibility, knot strength, water absorption resistance, linear strength, etc., which are required of a leader. The lineup features exquisite taper designs with butt diameters, taper lengths, and tippet lengths that can flexibly respond to any situation.

7.5ft

7×-4X are for those who prefer short leaders in mountain streams or those who want to devise a leader system. 3×-0X are for trout, salt, and bass in Hokkaido.

9ft

7×-4X are standard specs for mountain streams. The most popular specs in the series, you can add tippets to create a system, or use 3×-02X for large fish.

12ft

7×-4X are for those who use a slightly longer leader system, and 3×-0X are for large fish.　

The choice of tapered leader used for fly fishing can be based on the size of the target fish or the size of the fly. Fly fishing sometimes involves using a midge fly with a total length of about 5mm to catch fish over 50cm long. In that case, prioritize letting the fly flow naturally and use a delicate 6X or 7X. We also recommend that you have a variety of thicknesses/lengths to deal with various situations.
