A new Limited Edition redefining the essence of a metal sutte rod.
The Sephia Limited series introduces three distinct actions:
F (Fast Taper): A classic metal sutte action featuring Tough Tech ∞.
R (Regular Taper): Designed for Omorigu fishing, equipped with High-Response Solid.
UK Model: Features the Ukikuki Top (Glass Solid) for enhanced sensitivity.
All three models boast a slim yet powerful blank, built with Spiral X Core and high-modulus materials for strength and lightness.
The baitcasting models feature the X-Seat Front Trigger, allowing the most sensitive part of the hand—the fingertips—to grip the trigger for precision control, enhancing handling and performance during both action and fight.
F-B63M-S
A classic metal-sutte action rod. This all-round medium model strikes a perfect balance between high sensitivity and power, featuring a fast taper for a responsive and precise action. It excels in fields with water depths ranging from 10 to 80 meters or more, offering a sharp and agile feel that appeals to anglers who prefer quick, crisp movements. The rod's sharp lifting action enables precise control of lures even in deeper waters. It performs exceptionally well in bottom-centered day games and, while it feels quite stiff, it bends smoothly when a squid is hooked, helping to prevent the line from snapping

Model Overview
Metal Rig Models: F-B65ML-S & F-B63M-S
F-B65ML-S (Medium Light, 6’5”):
Prioritizes a soft yet responsive feel, ideal for shallower waters (~60m) and light rigs.
Ensures precise control and automatic hook setting, even with subtle bites.
Excellent power-to-weight ratio for handling large Kensaki squid.
F-B63M-S (Medium, 6’3”):
Higher sensitivity & power, suited for depths of 10–80m+.
Crisp, responsive action for anglers who prefer manual control and active hook setting.
Omori Rig Models: R-S62M-S & R-S66MH-S
Omori Rig Item Overview The first-ever spinning models in the series designed for Omori rigs. These rods feature an Omori-rig-specific (R-tuned) action that allows effortless casting. Since water currents vary by region and the preferred sinker weight differs by fishing charter, two spinning models are available: Medium (M) and Medium-Heavy (MH). Just like the baitcasting models for metal rigs, these spinning rods cater to various angler preferences without compromising expectations. Both models offer excellent usability, bending appropriately under the weight of the sinker to support the droppers' water resistance, allowing precise current control while attracting squid. With the benefits of Spiral X Core + High Power X, these rods remain highly stable and exhibit excellent casting performance, ensuring rigs reach their intended target with precision. The Omori rig’s characteristics—such as the use of heavy sinkers and long leaders—often make detecting subtle bites challenging. However, the high-response solid tip offers the necessary stiffness to detect even the slightest bites, making it easier to set the hook.
R-S62M-S
Designed for calmer currents and fishing depths of 10–80m+, this regular-taper spinning model is ideal for sinkers weighing 10–30号 (37–112g). Its flexible bend makes it highly effective when bites are faint or squid are small. It smoothly casts commonly used 20–25号 (75–94g) sinkers and allows precise action on the squid jig.
When fishing in mild currents, anglers typically use lighter sinkers and let them drift slowly while waiting for squid to strike. However, using a rod with an overly stiff tip can cause the sinker to bounce, making it difficult to read the current and droppers’ movement. The medium-power rod prevents excessive sinker movement, providing clear underwater feedback and making it easier to perform ideal squid-attracting movements.
R-S66MH-S
A highly refined regular-taper spinning model built for Omori rigs. It handles 20–40号 (75–150g) sinkers with ease, making it versatile for various fishing grounds. However, it excels in fast currents and at depths of 20–100m+.
With its strong backbone, this rod can easily lift even when large swordtip squid (kensaki-ika) or Japanese flying squid (surume-ika) are hooked in pairs, ensuring smooth landings without power loss.
Ukikuki Top Overview
UK-B62-GS
A specialized rod focused on visual sensitivity, the Ukikuki Top features a high-sensitivity glass solid tip, ensuring even the smallest bites are detected.
This highly delicate baitcasting model is designed for Ukikuki Top fishing, an established method within metal rig fishing. The rod is equipped with a long glass solid tip, which bends deeply under the weight of the metal sutte, aligning perfectly with the line as if piercing the water's surface. The vividly colored tip appears like a floating hera float, allowing anglers to detect even the slightest vertical movements for precise hook setting—truly the pinnacle of visual sensitivity in a fishing rod.
While long and soft glass solid tips are often assumed to pair best with light sutte, this rod's unique design truly shines when used with heavier sutte such as 20–30号 (75–112g). Additionally, the stiff mid-section and belly allow the rod to handle even 40号 (150g) sutte without issue.
At 6 feet 2 inches, the rod strikes a balance between standard 6'6" models and shorter 5'11" models. A rod that is too long can feel sluggish, while a shorter rod may struggle to absorb wave movement. This carefully chosen length eliminates such weaknesses while maintaining exceptional versatility. Even the tiniest, momentary dips in the rod tip are clearly transmitted to the angler, ensuring precise and confident hook sets. While Ukikuki Top fishing may be a matter of personal preference, this rod’s ability to consistently hook squid is unmatched.
