DAIWA aims to create products that resonate with anglers for whom bass fishing is at the core of their lifestyle — products that reflect a shared passion and commitment. Every detail is designed with DAIWA’s technology and philosophy to support serious bass anglers. This is STEEZ: not just rods or reels, but everything needed to face bass with passion and precision.
“Sensitivity” — Beyond the Limits
The 26STEEZ competition rods are equipped with cutting-edge technology for unparalleled underwater visibility and control. After 15 years, the 21STEEZ has undergone a full model change, incorporating the latest advancements.
Development Concept: “Clairvoyance” The eternal theme of rods: sensitivity.
Using FFS (Forward Facing Sonar) for live shooting, modern bass fishing emphasizes “seeing” underwater. The 26STEEZ aims to achieve this even without FFS, by maximizing rod sensitivity. Anglers can feel lures underwater as if peering directly, operate them precisely, and trigger bites that were previously difficult to detect — enhancing the joy of bass fishing. All handles are detachable, with trusted Made in Japan quality.
■Bait Finesse C64L-SV・ST・BF Hermit Power Tune — Nationwide Bait Finesse
Compared to previous Hermit models, which excelled in mid-stroke actions with Neko rigs, the taper has been completely redesigned. The new taper features clear variations in stiffness, with a strong belly-to-butt section that emphasizes bottom contact and delicate manipulation on the substrate. This is a nationwide-level bait finesse rod, known as the Hermit Power Tune.
The tip uses a high-elastic MEGA TOP with a “へ-shaped taper,” delivering excellent bottom touch sensitivity while allowing lightweight rigs to be manipulated without pulling them too far. It enables delicate shaking actions while keeping lures leaning on cover or structure. Even on uneven structures, the belly section works effectively to avoid snags and maintain precise control.
Incorporating AGS and CWS, combined with SVF COMPILE-X and Torayca® M46X, the rod achieves dramatically improved sensitivity and instantaneous response. Rig operation and hook-setting performance are also enhanced, resulting in an unprecedentedly sharp casting feel and extended distance — a next-level bait finesse rod.
Application: Neko Rig / Down Shot Rig / No Sinker Rig / Small Rubber Jig / Free Rig Technology: SVF COMPILE-X Nanoplus / AGS / CWS / X45 Full Shield / MEGA TOP / ZERO_SEAT

DAIWA Technologies
AGS (Air Guide System)
Carbon-framed guides provide about 3× the rigidity of titanium. Signals transmitted through the line reach the blank directly, without absorption, offering exceptional sensitivity. Lightweight design improves swing speed and tip stability, significantly enhancing casting distance and control.
CWS (Carbon Wrapping System)
DAIWA’s proprietary method of securing guides and reel seats using tightly woven carbon cloth instead of thread. Provides lightweight assembly, higher torsion resistance, and improved durability while creating a distinctive visual texture.
SVF COMPILE-X Nanoplus
A highly muscular blank constructed from densely packed graphite fibers with minimal resin. High stiffness and rigidity deliver unmatched information transfer, allowing anglers to feel underwater action as if holding it in their hands. Lighter and more powerful than traditional blanks, this material ensures precise casting and powerful hook sets.
SVF NANOPLUS
Combines ultra-high-density carbon (SVF) with Toray Nanoloy technology to achieve higher strength, reduced weight, and slimmer blanks.
X45 Full Shield (Cobra Shield)
Twisting during casting, action, hooking, or fighting is minimized by a 45° carbon bias cross wrapping the outer layer of the blank tip, dramatically improving torsional rigidity, casting accuracy, and overall rod performance.
3DX
A support structure focused on restoring the rod to its original shape. A honeycomb structure around the outer circumference enhances stability and recovery, reducing tip wobble and improving casting distance.
MEGA TOP
Carbon solid tip with uniformly distributed fibers and resin, offering consistent bending in all directions. Significantly stronger than conventional carbon solids, it enables high-taper flexible tips with excellent hand and visual sensitivity.
MEGA TOP R
An advanced high-elastic carbon solid tip combining MEGA TOP with Toray T1100G carbon, achieving higher sensitivity and high-response operation.
ZERO_SEAT
A reel seat designed for stress-free, immersive fishing.
