The fifth-generation Foojin’Z features the "APIA Palm Grip," designed to eliminate gaps between the palm and the EVA material when held. The slightly elevated back provides a comfortable fit, and the reel seat hood is made from shrink-rubber material for direct sensitivity transmission to the fingertips.

Foojin’Z utilizes an exclusive guide system based on APIA testers' extensive field experience. The top and butt guides, which are key points that cause line noise or twisting, are equipped with SiC-S rings, while the intermediate guides feature TORZITE rings. The rod is covered for five years after production ends, with unlimited repairs at a specified fee during this period.
