The icon of DAIWA’s tough baitcasting reels—which began with the 36mm spool—is once again weaving a legend. Ushering in this new chapter is the "ZILLION TW150," affectionately known as the "ONE-FIFTY." While inheriting the overwhelming casting distance and rock-solid rigidity passed down since the original model, this 150-size reel features a completely new, rugged, and compact full-aluminum body that fits naturally in the hand. It is infused with DAIWA’s cutting-edge technology, reflecting a sincere commitment to the future of fishing.
Its target range extends far beyond freshwater species like bass to include saltwater targets such as sea bass. Designed with a global stage in mind—looking beyond domestic waters to fierce battles across the globe—this reel embodies the concept of "Beyond Boundaries" through specifications that prioritize true, practical fishing performance.
It employs the LC (Long Cast) brake concept, featuring a 36mm spool designed to maximize the moment of inertia—maintaining momentum once the cast begins. Built upon the MAGFORCE Z system—which allows for linear brake adjustments to extend distance without stalling—it incorporates the BOOST mechanism to provide that extra surge of distance during the latter half of the cast. The line capacity is set at 100m of 20lb. monofilament and 150m of PE #3 line. With ample capacity to go head-to-head with formidable, unseen targets, it fulfills the aspirations of every angler seeking long-distance and comfortable casting performance.
Additionally, the reel is equipped with a large-sized version of DAIWA’s unique TWS (T-Wing System) to accommodate a wide variety of target species. By tapering the aperture from entry to exit and widening the line guide, the system ensures smooth, snag-free line release—not only for thick monofilament lines connected directly to lures but even for knots joining PE main lines to leaders. Regardless of the line type—whether nylon, fluorocarbon, or PE—the trouble-free performance and superb casting feel allow anglers to maintain sharp focus. Drag Sound (Drag Clicker)
In pursuit of the high drag performance needed to land big fish, we aimed for class-leading smoothness that responds instantly to a fish's pull, going beyond mere maximum drag ratings. It also features a drag clicker; by providing an audible signal during the tense, high-stakes moments when a fish makes a sudden dash, it gives the angler a significant advantage in managing the line system's limits.

Perfect Double Stopper
In addition to the standard stopper, a mechanical stopper is also included. A highly durable safety feature: even if the infinite anti-reverse fails to engage, a secondary mechanical stopper activates to prevent handle back-play.

With the conventional TWS, the leader knot sometimes struggled to pass through the line guide, particularly when using thick PE lines. The new TWS addresses this by incorporating a tapered shape and widening the line guide aperture. DAIWA continues to refine its unique technologies in pursuit of a casting feel that makes you want to cast again and again.
