Black Star – 2nd Generation (Full Model Change)

Both solid and tubular models have been completely renewed.
The Black Star series, which has evolved into a legend in the light game scene since its second generation release, returns after 9 years with a full redesign.

Built around the concept of making the blank lighter, thinner, and stronger, the new generation uses Torayca T-1100G carbon, achieving a slimmer yet more powerful and torque-rich structure while retaining the series’ signature blend of flexibility and crisp responsiveness.

This upgrade does not only enhance power—it significantly expands the usable lure weight range, further increasing the series’ hallmark versatility. As a result, the Black Star can now cover an even broader spectrum of light game applications.

The lineup now includes both solid tip and tubular tip models, allowing anglers to handle nearly all light game situations. Each model has been thoroughly optimized through testing with a wide range of lures, including jig heads, Carolina rigs, split shot rigs, minnows, and metal jigs.

A single cast reveals an exceptional lightness in hand—comparable to high-end models—elevating SW light game performance to a new level.

S65L-T PLUGGING SQRIPT (Tubular Tip Model)

A tubular model specialized for “retrieve-based” plug fishing.

Designed primarily for plug game techniques, the tip is tuned to flex under light load, stabilizing lure posture during steady retrieves and absorbing sudden bites. The belly and butt sections are firm and responsive, providing power for aggressive twitching and control over larger fish turns.

Ideal for harbor species such as:

• Mebaru (rockfish)
• Barracuda (kamasu)
• Blue runner (mejina / mekka species)

This is a variable taper tubular blank optimized for retrieve-focused fishing.

Grip Design

Spinning models use a lightweight IPS grip known for excellent holding performance, further lightened by internal hollowing.

Baitcasting models feature a proprietary reel seat designed for strong palming comfort and secure grip.
