New pinion gear support structure
The key to achieving more efficient winding is the grease bearing that supports the pinion gear on the spool side. Infinity Drive removes the support from this bearing, which has a large rotational resistance, and adopts a structure in which the pinion gear is supported from the inside by the spool shaft. Furthermore, by optimizing the support distance and thickness of the pinion gear, light rotation performance is achieved without reducing the strength of the gear. While achieving high durability, we have succeeded in lowering the rotational resistance of the gear annular part.

Changes to the drag sound mechanism
The drag sound mechanism is also one of the factors that affect winding efficiency. Therefore, we re-examined the "sound ratchet" and "operating panel that drives the sound pin", which were constantly sliding structures in the 11 Ocea Jigger. The new Ocea Jigger does away with this spring and adopts a drag sound mechanism that does not generate any sliding resistance when the handle is rotated.

The NEW Ocea Jigger uses Shimano's powerful waterproof system, X Protect. The combination of waterproof wall and special water-repellent grease provides strong protection against water intrusion into the drive gear shaft spool side bearing. It has evolved further into a highly durable offshore specification.
