This is a short-length model that makes it easy to chase all of that, at a high level, with just one rod.

Even within a single cast, a fish's behavior keeps changing, and fine-tuning your approach to each individual fish is an important factor in landing that extra fish. On top of a solid tip with excellent information sensing and transmission, the rod is finished with an overall regular-leaning taper, designed to make it easy to create line slack. The benefit of that is a strength that goes beyond adjustability for retrieves and topwater — extending to a wider range of fishing styles, from bottom plugs and metal vibration lures to minnows.

Treating line slack as one element you can adjust, the rod overall is designed with a regular-leaning taper to make that slack easy to create — while the solid tip itself, on its own, uses a fast-taper action (the other three models in the line are designed overall with a fast-leaning taper, but their solid tips lean toward a slow-taper action). On a bite, the delicate very tip of the solid tip leaves the hook resting in the fish's mouth, while the belly-to-butt portion of the solid-tip section — the part with real strength — emphasizes initial speed and power during action, letting you apply strong tension during both action and hooksets. This distinctive solid tip, balanced against an overall taper leaning toward creating line slack, is what gives it its one-of-a-kind adjustability.

Lure compatibility: For instance: working the surface with a spoon around 0.3g; going after freshly-stocked fish with spoons well into the 3g-plus range; topwater plugs, where the hooking timing and enticing style vary widely; working minnows like the Still Area T2 and Still Area 48HF; everything from micro cranks like the Dangouo to full-size crankbaits and bottom-knocking. With excellent casting distance and an easy hookset even far out, it handles not just small-to-medium ponds where handling matters, but also searching wide-open, large ponds.
