A redesigned, reinforced blank <SJ & Surf>
The SJ and Surf models have their blanks reinforced on both the inner and outer layers throughout. Thanks to a reworked reinforcement structure carried over from the previous model, rigidity against crushing and twisting is improved while keeping weight down. The blank has evolved into something tough and powerful, cutting power loss and giving you confidence when fighting a big fish.

A blank rebuilt with lightness in mind too
For the LG series and the 84/86 models, which prioritize lightness and light handling, the tip section is reinforced with cross tape, keeping tip-heaviness in check while boosting resistance to twisting. By reinforcing only where it's needed, the models keep their light feel, letting you enjoy a more delicate, in-depth shore saltwater game.

Center-cut 2-piece construction — A center-cut 2-piece design for excellent portability.
