Following a rigorous four-year development cycle starting in 2021, G-CRAFT has perfected the MONSTER PLUGGER MPB-815-AR—a big bait rod engineered around a 5 oz maximum lure capacity.

Designed at a length of 8'1" to prioritize the long-cast performance and lightweight feel required for shore-based angling, this rod comfortably handles lures ranging from 35 g to 130 g. It also retains a minimum usable lure weight of approximately 20 g for moving baits.

• "Giving" Tip Design: The tip section is engineered to be highly responsive yet forgiving. It effortlessly works 220 mm (4 oz class) pencil-style topwater lures while providing the delicate, precise tip action needed to swim 2 oz to 4 oz jointed swimbaits.
• Explosive Butt Section: The butt section is robust enough to full-cast a wide variety of 5 oz (140 g) lures, utilizing the distinct tension and recovery speed of high-modulus carbon blanks to achieve astonishing casting distance. Launching a 2 oz lure with a full-swing cast offers an incredibly crisp, exhilarating feel.
• Tested & Proven: While primary field-testing focused on targeting trophy seabass feeding on large baitfish—such as falling ayu (Ochi-Ayu) and gizzard shad (Konoshiro) patterns—the rod is equally at home throwing giant baits for freshwater monsters in places like Lake Biwa.
• Power Class: Features a maximum drag rating of up to 5.0 kg (best at 4.0 kg), confidently handling hard-charging target fish up to approximately 9 kg (※2).

• Guide System: Fitted entirely with premium Titanium-frame SiC and SiC-S guides for maximum line protection and weight savings.
• High-Elasticity Composite Blanks: A center-cut, 2-piece spigot joint (Inro-tsugi) design. The tip section features a 30t + 40t carbon blend, while the butt is constructed from a high-modulus 30t + 40t + 46t carbon layup to deliver exceptional crispness and lightning-fast recovery.
• The G-CRAFT Signature Action: The true essence of this Monster Plugger big bait series lies in its dual nature.
