Devotion to Real Fishing

★ The obstacles before us serve as signposts on the path to victory.

★ The god of victory resides within oneself, and in the details.

★ In 2021, a new chapter of STEEZ begins, with layers of depth added.

★ Now, let us carve a new page with our own hands.

The extreme reduction of resin volume is the true 'muscle' of the blank.

When compared to the standard at 100%, SVF COMPILE-X can achieve a maximum sensitivity of 171.4%.

Pursuing ergonomics for a more natural grip holds the key to victory.

The new AIR BEAM SEAT enhances attacking power, ensuring that 21STEEZ never loosens its grip on the angler and the rod, the direct contact points. By offsetting the penetrating blank within the seat, it ensures stability by lowering the center of gravity. The seat is designed with reduced steps between the trigger and the rear, and the hood is angled to fit any grip style comfortably. The trigger itself is designed to be thin and short, allowing the index finger to support during casting and smoothly transition to 2 or 3 fingers for retrieval without interference from the middle or ring fingers.

Revolutionary Tool for Versatile Bait: Finally Mastering the Crankbait

"The rod is a product of sensibility. If I dare say without fear of misunderstanding, there has been only minimal evolution until now. But with this rod, everything has changed. No, everything will change. This is the rod where I expressed everything I could."

Recently, Mitsuo Kawamura's "STEEZ SC Proto," which secured victory on the grand stage of the land's champion, has finally been completed. Almost all of the decisive factors for victory are encompassed in this one rod. Yes, the new SC model is the successor to the 16SC FIRE WOLF, a versatile bait model.

The desire for even greater versatility surges forth. The core of the Shore Competition series, overseen by Mitsuo Kawamura, undergoes a revolutionary evolution.

"A full model change in just five years was not my original intention. I grappled with betraying anglers every day, but it was absolutely necessary. As everyone feels, the field is changing. Meanwhile, there have been significant technological advancements at DAIWA as well. Dramatic changes have occurred in recent years. There was no other option but to share."

By developing the preceding 21SC FIRE FLASH, Kawamura says he felt "the potential of the solid tip." What he has come to desire next is the quest for a new level of versatility.

"Taking various factors into account, what I seek now is a versatile bait that suits me. My fishing has evolved, and what I seek has also changed. My desire to cover all lures if possible has grown stronger."

While maintaining excellent sensitivity and operability for worming as usual, numerous versatile performance aspects have been accumulated.

"Typically, a versatile rod would handle spinnerbaits at best. However, the new model can handle crankbaits without any shortage."

The adaptability of crankbaits with triple hooks, unlike wire bait with single hooks, has dramatically improved. A versatile rod that achieves a revolutionary evolution, making the previously impossible possible, has been completed.

Dual-Flow of Casting and Retrieval Realized by Medium Elastic Solid

Why did the impossible become possible? Kawamura entrusted his hope to the solid tip.

"The solid tip is of medium elasticity. By combining it with a belly-bat section of tubular material with even higher elasticity, we extended the bend transition while consolidating it into the robust regular fast taper of the butt."

The medium elastic solid reduces rebound force only in the tip, while its hardness is designed to be harder than the 16 model. At its core is the high elasticity SVF Nano Plus, which maintains tension while adding lightness, rebound force, and sensitivity.

"The solid tip doesn't bounce off or skip past events in the water touched by lures or sinkers; it captures and traces them. The high sensitivity, imperceptible in tubular materials, enhances concentration in handling and leads to better catches."

The tip end is about 2mm. The hard and thick solid tip captures subtle changes in the water, which were difficult to notice with tubular material, and transmits them to the belly-butt. By amplifying vibrations, it enables the transmission of highly accurate information to the angler's hands.

"Surprisingly, it's equipped with the ability to handle crankbaits. Through numerous casts, retrieves, and bait placements, we've seen test results that are immeasurable in today's natural settings."

The final test took place in a managed fishing area. The essence of a rod speaks through experience. The sensation conveyed to the hands by the line vibrating in response to the vibrations of crankbaits, unique to glass and low elastic carbon, is evident. It feels like a hard bait-exclusive rod, allowing the lure to move freely without hindrance and creating conditions for successful catches.

The fusion of hard solid and slender tubular, combined with materials that maintain appropriate tension, also contributed to crafting a beautiful taper. By transitioning into a "V-shaped taper," it becomes easier to load weight, enabling soft presentations from lightweight to heavyweight.

"This raises concerns about jigs with guards. However, we confirmed ample hooking power."

It's not about generating hooking sensations with a hard belly-butt. Even with a regular fast taper, the high elasticity rebound force and butt power can transmit power to the hook tip.

Furthermore, with the tip becoming harder and transitioning into a V-shaped taper compared to the 16 model, jig maneuverability has improved. It also exhibits outstanding responsiveness to slackening and pulling of wire baits.

"Despite not being rigid, it possesses hooking power, cushioning, making it easy to cast, and the lure swims lively. Meanwhile, it combines high sensitivity and lightness."

A length of 6ft.9in. was chosen. Reflecting the modern demand for uncompromising casting accuracy from an era where answers were spun around cover shooting, the rear grip was shortened to enable swift casting, with little difference in effective length of the blank. The cork grip was deliberately chosen to exclude a hook keeper and fitted straight.

The blank is inspired by STEEZ's brand color. Fusing worming and fast-moving, it represents the strongest spear and highest-hardness shield. Betting on the name of versatility, a model without contradictions has finally been born. The 22SC FIRE WOLF, symbolizing the STEEZ Shore Competition, is here.
