This rod was developed to greatly "break" the concept of conventional offshore casting rods, meaning to shatter it.
Equipped with state-of-the-art specs that live up to its name, it was born to enjoy offshore casting games targeting large fish such as yellowtail and GT in a comfortable and enjoyable manner.
There are three main performance requirements for offshore casting rods targeting large fish. One is the casting performance that delivers overwhelming casting distance and allows continuous casting.
In casting games, whether it's nabura fishing or blind casting, the distance of the lure is directly linked to the catch. It goes without saying that having a longer casting distance is overwhelmingly advantageous.
Especially in blind casting, how long you can keep casting is also important. During expedition fishing trips, it is common to cast from early morning to evening for two or three days, sometimes even longer. Opportunities may arise at any moment. To meet these requirements, the SALTIGA BREAK THROUGH adopts newly designed high elasticity blanks "SVF Compile X Nano Plus" which are the first for offshore rods. Strong rebound force enables stable casting distance with light force, and its lightweight allows comfortable casting for extended periods.

Saltiga Break Through C710-8

This model is suitable for use with PE6 to PE8 lines and lure weights ranging from 80 to 160 grams (approximately 200 to 250mm). It is designed for targeting large predators such as yellowtail and GT. Compatible reel sizes range from 14000 to 18000. Despite being a power model, its shorter length configuration allows anglers with less confidence in their physical strength to swing large plugs effectively.

In tight battles in shallow areas, it allows for quick and powerful lifting of fish, while minimizing strain on the angler's body. It's truly a rod that allows for quick and easy lifting. It's perfect not only for targeting yellowtail but also for the increasingly popular big bait game in recent years.

Blank :

The blank is based on the M40X, the first high-strength, high-elastic material used in DAIWA offshore rods, and features the SVF Compile X Nano Plus. This combination significantly contributes to the improvement of casting distance and lifting power unique to high-elastic blanks. Additionally, the new taper design achieves an exquisite balance where the characteristic stiffness of high-elasticity is not felt.

Reel Seat :

The newly designed ZERO seat (Power Hold) meticulously crafted on-site. It eliminates the step when mounting the reel, providing excellent grip. It accommodates any gripping style, from three fingers to zero fingers (holding the reel foot forward with all fingers), making casting and lure operation refreshing.

New Shape Grip :

Raised protrusions are added to the fore EVA grip to enhance grip, while the rear end is diagonally cut to increase the contact area, significantly reducing discomfort during gimballed fighting against the abdomen.

Although it's a by-product, it also makes it easier to grip during casting, and contributes to increasing casting speed by effectively transmitting power during pulling.

Also, by adding protrusions to the fore EVA grip, it allows for a secure grip without slipping during vertical rod fighting.

Butt Guide :

The butt guide features RV guides, known for their excellent line control. Additionally, the rod is easily recognizable from a distance with its custom rod-style blue gradation double wrapping, making it instantly identifiable as the BT model.

The EVA grip features the SALTIGA logo engraved on it.
