Don't be afraid of backlash. Learn how to use a baitcasting reel with the anti-backlash flap. Turning the flap ON helps prevent backlash, and turning it OFF allows it to be used as a regular BC reel, making it ideal for first-time BC reel users. A black-based 7-gear ratio model is now available!

Anti-Backlash Flap System
The anti-backlash flap is an analog control system that prevents backlash by detecting excess line slack and controlling spool rotation. The flap can be turned ON/OFF, and once you're comfortable casting, you can turn it OFF and use it as a regular baitcasting reel.

Mechanism
When the sensor bar detects excess line slack, the flap rises, part ① moves in conjunction, and part ② contacts the spool's rotation axis, suppressing spool rotation.
