ABU GARCIA Beast SP 3500

Equipped with large-diameter gears that are 10% larger (compared to the REVO BEAST SP) and the Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag system for high drag power, the BEAST SP delivers high performance with features specialized for casting large lures and battling big fish.

10% Larger Gen III Large-Diameter Gears
Features large-diameter gears that are 10% larger than those in the REVO BEAST SP. With enhanced durability and strength, it enables powerful performance during large-lure casting, shore jigging, and battles with big fish. Aluminum is used for the gears in the 3000 and 4000 sizes, while brass is used for the 5000 size.

Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag
While drag systems are typically located at the top of the spool, the BEAST SP employs the Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag system, positioning the drag at the bottom of the spool. By sandwiching the spool from above and below—and utilizing three drag washers at the bottom to increase the friction surface area—it achieves high drag power. It also features a drag clicker, allowing the angler to gauge the speed at which line is being pulled out via the clicking sound and manage the fight while being mindful of potential line breakage. This drag system combines high drag power with an audible clicker function.

Salt Shield™ Bearings
By using ball bearings with a water-repellent coating applied to both their internal and external surfaces, the phenomenon of salt crystallization—which causes abnormal rotation noise—is drastically reduced. This has successfully resulted in significantly improved rotation feel and durability.

HPCR Bearings
Bearings made from high-performance, corrosion-resistant materials offer improved durability, smoothness, and corrosion resistance, enhancing performance across all fishing scenarios.

Asymmetrical Body Design
The newly developed body features completely different profiles on the left and right sides. Standard spinning reels typically house the main gear—which rotates in connection with the handle shaft—only on the left side; this design focuses on simply enclosing that main gear, thereby thoroughly eliminating unnecessary space. As a result, we achieved a lightweight, compact body without compromising material thickness or strength.

V-Rotor Design
By utilizing a small-diameter arbor and V-shaped wings, we achieved reduced weight and lower rotational inertia without sacrificing strength. The rotation is characterized by a smooth start and an instant, precise stop. (Size 4000 and up; aluminum construction)

V-Spool Design
The spool skirt primarily serves to prevent slack line from wrapping around the spool shaft. The new V-Spool design achieves significant weight reduction by slimming down this skirt section.

Rocket Management System
1. Spool Design – Abu Garcia’s proprietary Rocket Spool Lip allows line to release from the spool more smoothly and evenly.
2. Oscillation System – The slow oscillation system ensures an optimal winding angle, allowing line to be wound onto the spool more smoothly and evenly.
3. Bail – Controls the line loop optimally as it releases from the spool lip, allowing the line to pass smoothly through the rod's first stripping guide.
