Overview
The goal of Soare is to master the art of light game fishing, focusing on a variety of targets using lightweight tackle with a line of PE 0.8 or less. This light game goes beyond just targeting rockfish and horse mackerel, with versatile approaches in a deep yet accessible style.
The Soare SS has been upgraded with the advanced Spiral X construction, enhancing its core performance and expanding its range of compatible rigs.
Soare SS S80L-S:
Power-Oriented Semi-Long Rod
The S80L-S is designed for more than just targeting ajing and mebaru—it’s built to tackle a wide range of targets using versatile light rigs.
With its broad lure weight compatibility, this rod allows for a variety of techniques and rig styles. The L-power ensures smooth handling of heavier rigs without compromise, providing the strength needed for aggressive fights around structures when necessary. A versatile tool for anglers looking to expand their light game repertoire!
Impression Stress-free maneuverability, unlocking the potential of light saltwater game
Light saltwater game fishing involves a range of lures and actions, from minnow twitches to metal jig jerks, to attract different targets. During the Soare SS test, it was immediately clear how stress-free every movement felt—from casting, retrieving, and controlling to the actual fight. This smoothness is a result of the newly adopted Spiral X blank technology.
The lineup offers both solid and tubular tip models with the same length and power options. For jig head rigs and precise lure actions, the solid tip is ideal for feeling even subtle bites. Meanwhile, the tubular model works well for reel-in and twitching plug fishing. An extra model was added from the previous version, with a refreshed lineup. A standout is the S76L-S, featuring a high-response solid tip with firm tension and strong butt power, perfect for targeting slightly larger fish like rockfish up to 30 cm or smaller pelagics in coastal and rocky areas.
For standard light saltwater fishing around harbors targeting rockfish and horse mackerel, the S76UL-S is ideal. The S86ML-S and S86ML-T models are excellent for long-distance casting on the surf, effortlessly sending jig heads under 1 gram far into the water. This lineup offers a variety of unique options to expand the potential of light saltwater fishing, perfect for beginners wanting to advance and also as secondary rods for advanced anglers with main rods like the Soare XR. For example, the S80UL-S is recommended for targeting larger rockfish, as it bends more than the S76UL-S, improving your chances of landing larger catches by allowing for stronger drag settings.
Unexpected Encounters
In light saltwater games, unexpected larger fish like seabass or red sea bream may sometimes strike. Every Soare SS model is equipped with a butt strong enough to handle sudden power fights with bigger fish.
The S76UL-S is recommended for night games using jig head rigs around well-lit areas, where its sensitive, flexible solid tip can detect even the most delicate bites. It also pairs well with small plugs like the Pablo Shad SW Tune 52SP.
The S86ML-S and S86ML-T models make long-distance casting possible, sending lightweight jig heads far offshore for surf fishing. The S86ML-T also works well with retrieve-based fishing styles using high-appeal lures like the Rise Shot Blade.
