Overview
Encounter — Shore Casting Rod Series
A versatile shore casting rod designed for sea bass, flatfish, bluefish, and other migratory species. Incorporating Shimano’s proprietary Spiral X technology, the Encounter series achieves a balance of strength, lightness, and resilient flex. The high torsional and crush rigidity minimizes wobble and dullness, while the supple bending curve delivers sharp, precise feedback. This allows anglers to instinctively control hooked targets with an “automatic” feel.
The series covers a wide range of lengths and powers, suitable for lures of various sizes and fishing grounds from harbors and rivers to breakwaters, surf, and rocky shores, across both short- and long-distance casting scenarios.
