The primary concept of this mountain stream minnow is its "upstream exclusive design." The name TAGIRI is derived from the word "tagiru," which means to surge or push upstream in Japanese. The culture of mountain stream lure fishing is unique to Japan, and the goal was to adhere to the traditional fishing method of "tug-up" or "fishing up."

Around 20 years ago, mountain stream lure fishing was truly an indie genre, but through the efforts of those who came before, the term "minnowing in mountain streams" was established. In this matured era, the desire arose to introduce a "sharp-edged mountain stream minnow" that was not available among mass-produced products.

In 2022, the TAGIRI project finally kicked off.

Unique Form :

With an upside-down silhouette reminiscent of dead bait and side-mounted eyes, it's a fresh setting for a mountain stream minnow. It's all part of the new concept of "fishing up."

Hardwood Material :

To create a unique "slipperiness," hardwood material has been chosen. It's durable and ensures stable quality.

Figure-Eight Wobbling Roll :

The swaying motion from side to side mimics the flow of a parallel-running river. By applying brakes in such a manner and utilizing subtle rod tip action and a plate lip, it creates the illusion of prey in a short distance.

High-Density Tungsten Weight :

Positioned towards the rear for an overwhelming casting distance (casting feel).
