Changing the Standard for Bass Rods: The Perfect Spineless Rod with 7-Foot MH Power.

A casting, hooking, and landing rod that excels in versatility for all types of presentations. The Dire Wolf Wild 7 takes over the lineage of the Super Steed GT-R, which was already a perfected spineless rod, enhancing it to be longer and stiffer. This "7-Foot MH Power" perfect spineless rod upgrades the standard for versatile rods.

With a 6:4 regular action and a thick, muscular blank, its characteristics are not aimed at being ultra-lightweight. Instead, it is designed with a well-balanced weight that provides robust power when casting and a smooth, pleasant release when swung in the field. Thanks to its perfect spineless design, there is almost no casting wobble derived from the blank, allowing shots to hit the targeted spots precisely with the desired trajectory. Moreover, the ability to embed the hook point without losing hooking power is a unique feature of the perfect spineless blanks.

Additionally, because there are no spines that hinder the flexibility, the blanks can smoothly follow a bass's sudden direction changes during the fight. Even when the line tension may loosen as the fish approaches the boat or feet, the rod maintains constant tension, reducing the risk of losing the fish.

The rod is well-suited for various types of presentations, including crawler baits, big pencils, full-size crank baits, deep cranks, big baits, swim baits, swim jigs, bladed jigs, spinner baits, and big spoons, handling all conceivable lures of 3/8oz (10g) and above.

The Dire Wolf Wild 7 comes with two types of grips, RS (cork semi-long grip) and GT-R (EVA short grip), while sharing the same blanks and guides. Both models have a total length of 7 feet. Compared to the GT-R, the RS grip is 1 inch longer, resulting in the butt section of the blanks being 1 inch shorter and offering a slightly harder feel. This configuration provides an advantage in long casting and hooking.

It is particularly suited for soft swim baits, swim jigs, spinner Baits, and big spoons that require long casts to hook at longer distances. Sometimes, aggressive hooking may be necessary for reaction bites, making it an excellent match. The balance of grip length to overall length also allows for versatility in both horizontal and vertical movements, making it effective in situations where the number of rods is limited, such as on small boats or shore fishing.

■ Blanks

Utilizes the latest 4-axis manufacturing method with Kaleido Super Quattro Cross from butt to tip. The main cross is made from low-resin pure carbon, incorporating a ±45° method from the top to the guide section, and a ±30° method with diagonal reinforcement in the butt section for greater density and power.

■ Guide System

The Super Stallion Black Series employs all double-foot guides. This increases the surface area of the guide foot and thread, providing reinforcement against bending and twisting, enhancing toughness and torque. This setting is ideal for handling ultra-big fish and big baits. (Fuji titanium frame SiC ring guides)

Note: Only the Stallion DG69MH (TKIC-69MH-BK) and Super Stallion (TKIC-71MH-BK) in the Black Series use all double-foot guides.

■ Fore Grip

Eliminating the fore grip achieves further weight reduction. The sleekly designed winding check, along with the minimal 4-axis carbon sleeve nut, significantly contributes to lightness and sensitivity.

■ Reel Seat Design

The reel seat features a slim and lightweight Fuji ECS reel seat, designed for ease of gripping and emphasizing sensitivity. The Black Series is finished in a black mica color that matches the EVA grip, enhancing the premium feel of the product.

■ Signature

As a testament to its production by Katsutaka Imae, the reel seat of the Black Series features a signature in kanji.

■ Grip Design

Adopting a separate grip focusing on operability and weight reduction. The Black Series uses EVA for the center grip and rear grip. EVA provides a gentle kickback to the wrist during casting, offering an advantage for continuous casting with heavier or moving lures. Its durable shape also means it is less likely to wear down or crack over time. The grip end is adorned with an original end plate inspired by a kaleidoscope (Kaleido), and the grip is detachable.
