The Black Rose is a strike-focused heavy hitter with surprising lightness and ease of casting despite its 71H+ specifications. Beneath its agile handling lies tremendous power and torque, making it perfect for tackling heavy-duty situations.

In cover fishing, it's advantageous to slide the lure in from underneath to avoid interference from obstacles during hooking and landing. However, there are many situations where bass must be approached over or through cover, such as dense brush, floating wood chips mixed with driftwood, heavy grass mats, or vegetation stretching over the water's surface where big, wary fish often hide.

The Black Rose excels in these conditions, punching through cover to target big fish. Whether using a rubber jig, Texas rig, or leaderless downshot, it allows precise casts and subtle movements. Even when the line is rubbing against cover, you can clearly distinguish between the feel of a sinker hitting a branch and a bass inhaling the lure. With a solid hookset, it drives the hook into the tough jaws of a big bass, even with slack in the line, and pulls the fish out of cover and into the boat.

• TORAYCA® "T1100G" & Nanoalloy® Technology:
  The entire blank, from the tip to the butt, is constructed using high-strength, high-modulus carbon fiber TORAYCA® "T1100G" combined with Nanoalloy® technology carbon prepreg. This creates a smooth, regular taper with an uninterrupted bend curve, offering incredible recovery strength.
• Quattro Woven Cross:
  The butt section is reinforced with a Quattro Woven Cross, featuring a higher layer density and thicker weave compared to traditional 4-axis cross designs. This provides strong resistance against torsion and crushing of the blank.

■ Guide System

• Guide Setup:
  Equipped with SiC rings and titanium frame guides of balanced sizes, not too large or too small, optimizing both lightweight performance and strength.
  • Top: SiC ring and titanium frame guide.
  • Tip to Belly (5 guides): SiC ring and titanium frame, reinforced single-foot guides.
  • Belly to Butt (4 guides): SiC ring and titanium frame, double-foot guides.

■ Grip Design (Fore Grip)

• The rod features a fore-gripless design for lightweight, sharp handling. This allows direct blank contact during palming, thanks to the elimination of thread wrapping between the blank and grip.

• For improved grip performance, handling, and sensitivity, the rod is equipped with the slim and lightweight Fuji ECS reel seat, offering direct blank contact.

• The separate type grip is designed for versatility in casting from any direction, focusing on maneuverability and weight reduction. Both the center and rear grips use high-hardness EVA, ensuring durability and delivering a precise feel through the hard material.
