I want to get closer to the essence of bait. I thought that was the shortcut to the game fish we were looking for. This series starts by re-examining the conceptual forms, colors, lines and surfaces that had existed until then. We closely observed the momentary facial expressions, movements, and transparency of the fish, such as photographs, web videos, and visual inspections at the aquarium, as well as the real thing. I wanted to steal facial expressions and conditions, rather than simply faithfully reproducing the realism and details seen from the side. I wanted to express things such as transparency, sliminess, roughness and appearance by combining impressive lines and surfaces of various angles. The bait collection is an attempt to make various baits into lures. The bait collection series proposes the fun that stirs the image.
