Overview

  • A fluorocarbon shock leader that is resistant to the sharp teeth and fins of large fish, scrapes against the bottom of the boat or reefs, and around obstacles. The hard surface provides excellent abrasion resistance.
  • Fluorocarbon has a refractive index of 1.42, which is close to that of water (1.33), making it difficult to see underwater. (For reference: nylon has a refractive index of 1.53.)
  • The fluorocarbon shock leader of this product has a SOFT finish, which makes it easier to tie thick knots. It is also designed so that any kinks can be straightened out by pulling it.
  • Fluorocarbon has little stretch, so it directly transmits the action of lures and jigs, supporting the angler’s desired casting and excellent hooking performance.
  • Fluorocarbon’s high specific gravity of 1.78 delivers lures and jigs to the target range faster. (For reference: nylon specific gravity 1.14)
  • One of the characteristics of fluorocarbon is that it hardly deteriorates due to water absorption and has excellent durability.
  • Large spool prevents line kinks. Comes with special spool band.
