As the name suggests, it is a series with an extreme orientation. As Kunio Niie, the developer at WHIPLASH FACTORY, diversified his targets and increased his overseas fishing trips, his desire for a rod that did not yet exist gradually grew. There is a need to handle many situations with minimal tackle, and to cover games using various types of lures. It must also be capable of handling fish with sudden and intense power.

To achieve this, straightforward basic performance, fundamental strength, and unconventional settings are necessary. The lineup includes the 'REX601HX-G', which is short yet powerful with a focus on accuracy; the 'REX605HX-T', designed with a two-piece blank and detachable handle for portability; the 'REX609MHX-T', which maintains the power of the previous two models while adding versatility; the travel model 'REX703HHX-T', which combines robust power with fight control capabilities to withstand tough fish; and coming in 2022, the long and heavy 'REX803HXXR3-T', along with its spinning version 'REX803HXXR3-TS'. This makes a total of six models in the lineup. Each model not only offers power but also a stress-free taper design and flexibility. It is a series where EXTREME orientation and matured comprehensive capabilities are fused and sublimated.

REX803HXXR3-T -the Reign of Terror-

Developed with aviation constraints in mind, this long & heavy 3-piece model targets various domestic freshwater and brackish water large species such as bass in large venues with big baits, marbled seabass at river mouths with large topwater plugs, akame and Chinese seabass in smaller areas, as well as taimen and Biwako giant catfish. It also targets various international species. Despite its robust power, the tip section is surprisingly smooth. The rod also features a stress-free regular taper for easy handling, accommodating various types and sizes of lures. The smallest guide diameter is set to '7'.

Target (Domestic): Biwako giant catfish, taimen, Japanese seabass, Chinese seabass, medium-sized akame, medium-sized bluefish, etc.

Target (Oversea): Taimen, large peacock bass (cachorra), large golden mahseer, medium to large snakehead (open area), medium to large barramundi, Murray cod, etc.

GUIDE :

Uses Fuji S.i.C guides with a titanium frame. The top is a T-MNST, and from the 2nd guide onwards, T-KWSG is used. Considering the use of leaders, the diameters are intentionally not minimized.

REEL SEAT : 

Features a non-slip finish and a long nut on the TCS-D18 for a firm hold. The hood is made of highly corrosion-resistant IP chrome.

COUNTER BALANCER :

Equipped with an original counterbalancer made from machined SUS304 with an engraved logo. It reduces the feeling of heaviness and contributes to a comfortable user experience.
