Development Concept:
In bass fishing, adopting a style known as power fishing is essential for taking on large bass with strength. This style includes techniques like P: Pitching, D: Deep-Diving Crankbaits, and F: Frogging. When pitching, the goal is to extract bass from obstacles with power. With deep-diving crankbaits, precision in casting to specific points is vital, along with detecting subtle bites from large bass and executing successful hook sets. For frogs, precise lure movements are often necessary to trigger strikes. All of these techniques require a long rod.
As a smaller-framed angler without excessive strength, I’ve focused on tackle balance. It’s important to maintain casting pace throughout the day, even into the evening. The Bounce PDF rod, at 6 feet 6 inches—the longest in the series—is designed for sharp, fatigue-free casting. Besides reducing overall weight, careful consideration was given to the rod’s weight balance.

Spiral Guide System:
The Hiroism rods are designed so the guides rotate about 30 degrees from the butt guide, leading to a 180-degree rotation at the top guide and second guide. This design avoids line-to-blank contact, allowing aggressive power fishing and ensuring the lure moves straight. The top and second guide placement guarantees smooth casting, whether overhead or side casting.
Ferrule (PDF2): An over-ferrule design provides the feel of a 1-piece rod. White marking lines ensure proper spiral guide angle alignment.
