ATD TOUGH (8000-14000)

DRD (DRD14000-30000)
The DRD system is a completely new drag mechanism designed to withstand the repeated runs of large fish over extended periods, preventing wear, damage, and seizing at high drag levels. Replacing the carbon washers used in conventional drags, the DRD washer features eight metal rollers mounted on a single metal plate. This suppresses the reduction in drag force due to frictional heat, resulting in durability more than five times greater than carbon washers (according to Daiwa's comparative tests). Furthermore, it contributes to smoother initial release.

LC-ABS SW
While the LC-ABS achieves smooth line release by optimizing the spool ring shape, the LC-ABS SW adopts a two-stage tapered shape on the upper side of the spool winding section towards the spool ring. This reduces frictional resistance with the line released from the deeper diameter, resulting in a smoother casting feel and further improving release performance in the latter half of the cast. In particular, when using thick lines where the winding diameter changes significantly during casting, it contributes to an approximately 2% increase in casting distance.
