SHIMANO JV-T08W Ocea Tungman 80g #003 AZ AkaKin
Overview
An aggressive pilot jig with an innovative idea that utilizes high-density tungsten material.
Tungman is a compact jig that combines tungsten material with a flat body that grips water firmly, and has both flashy fall action and fall speed. By maintaining a horizontal posture with front balance and pressing the side of the body against the water as it sinks, it generates a random fall action that disrupts the trajectory in a complex manner. In addition, the light operability with the floating feeling unique to the front balance allows for a variety of attacks, whether raising (jerk) or lowering (fall). It is also good at retrieving and can also be used with blade tunes. This item is a must-have item to add to your arsenal as a pilot jig that can be used for any purpose, or as a trump card to get the fish to bite when it doesn't bite.
Front balance that quickly turns to the side. Good at capturing narrow ranges with limited vertical movement.
Tungman has a front balance setting where the center of gravity is located slightly ahead of the center.
It is good at short jerks that take advantage of its short body that can turn easily, and after jerking, it quickly turns to the side and floats in a horizontal position for a moment to create a feeding gap, then smoothly transitions to a random fall. It is possible to carve finely with a jerk that suppresses the vertical movement distance, and is especially recommended for concentrating on a narrow range. There are many variations of fall action, and the jig attracts fish by itself with a small flicker. However, it also handles detailed productions that make full use of techniques.
Blinking with scale boost and flat body. The large eyeballs also appeal as bite markers.
The flat body with a wide surface designed to flicker is perfect for Tungman's various actions. Combined with a scale boost that emits a complex glow, it will continue to attract targets without rest. The characteristic eyeball, which is made as large as possible, is also appealing as a bite marker. Rather than simply creating a fish-like face and shape, the design has been carefully designed to create a realistic silhouette and volume as seen by fish eaters, as well as ample appeal.
*The color in the photo is a prototype.
A jig action to attract fish with an assist hook that is key to capturing SLJ and microbait patterns.
In order to capture omnivorous fish such as SLJ and whitebait, which are picky eaters of microbaits, it is not enough to simply make the silhouette of the jig smaller. Rather than using the jig itself, be aware that you are feeding the fish with a hook like a sabiki. The front-balanced Tungman maintains a horizontal position for a long time even when the assist hook is attached, and sinks while swinging the assist hook with a random fall action. In combination with the Type-LJ assist hook, it creates an exquisite balance that shakes the firmness during the fall and tempts you with the shine of the hook shank. Tungman designed the line eye and hook eye to be wide so that the nodule ring, assist hook, and jig do not interfere with the action as much as possible.
*Recommended hook: "TYPE-LJ Assist Hook" SS-M.
However, not only can you roll it, but you can also tune the blade. The spoon-like flat body is also strong for retrieval.
Tungman is also recommended for retrieval purposes. When using a SLJ with a cast, attaching a rear hook stabilizes the swim and produces spoon-like wobbling. Occasionally a slide action is caused by changing the winding speed to turn on the target. In addition, when tuning the blade to target Japanese Spanish mackerel or blue fish, the resistance of the blade suppresses excessive swimming and stabilizes the trajectory. The body does not rotate even during high-speed retrieves, making it appealing. The unique action of slightly sliding due to uneven winding during high-speed retrieval is also attractive.
*Actions vary depending on the hook, blade, and swivel installed. Please be careful as you may lose your balance.
Carefully selected color lineup.
Six carefully selected colors that you can't miss.
#002 S GuriKin is a classic SLJ color that has an outstanding track record. #003 AZ AkaKin is recommended because it emphasizes the silhouette when it is mazume, muddy, or has a crab pattern for root fish, and Zebra Glow and A Holo will definitely appeal. If you want to emphasize the glow even more, use the #006 STG PinGin, which has a half-full glow and stands out in flickering. On the other hand, to blur the silhouette, we recommend the #005 Z Mirā, whose mirror part blends into the water, and is a must-have for microbait and cutlass fry patterns. For highly active fish or when you want to appeal to a wide range of fish, use the #004 A BuruPin with its strong flickering and the #001 SRK Iwashi with Keimura finish depending on the water depth.
