Lightweight casting produces distance and accuracy
The "CI4+ rotor" takes advantage of its lightness and pursues light casting, and the line roller is equipped with "X-Protect". The feeling of smooth line winding is sustained. The pinion gear, which is the heart of the reel, is made of high-strength brass pinion gear to enhance strength, and the Surf Leader has improved the performance of a full-fledged casting reel, such as operability and durability.

X-PROTECT (line roller part)
Since lighter rotation performance is required, a new waterproof structure has been developed specifically for this reel. In addition to the conventional water-repellent treatment, we have focused on a non-contact type that does not impair the lightness of rotation, and by combining a labyrinth structure that suppresses water intrusion, we have achieved high waterproof performance while being non-contact. Due to its lightness of rotation, it can also be used for line rollers, and the salt-sticking durability of the line roller bearing has also been greatly improved.

High-speed drag (SD35 only)
By adopting a special drag washer, the drag force can be adjusted from MIN to MAX with one turn of the knob. Also effective for fishing with a stationary rod.

CI4+ rotor + body
By using the lightweight carbon material CI4+ for the main parts of the rotor and body, it is lightweight and has high rigidity.
