SHIMANO 21 Spheros SW 6000PG
Overview
To keep fishing at all times.
The Spheros SW is equipped with a wide range of technologies that break the common sense of its price range, including X-Shield, which boasts waterproof performance equivalent to IPX-8, X-Protect, X-SHIP, and HAGANE body, making it suitable for harsh saltwater scenes. It is also equipped with Infinity Drive, HAGANE gear, and carbon cross washers, which further improves durability and performance. In addition, the adoption of HAGANE gear and machine-cut aluminum handle makes the weight 50 to 85g lighter than the previous model. It covers five items that are important in coastal waters, 5000HG, 6000HG, 6000PG, 8000HG, and 8000PG, and is suitable for a wide range of games, from jigging to casting, regardless of shore or offshore.

Light and powerful winding that always puts you in control
The conventional X-SHIP structure achieved light winding by supporting both ends of the pinion gear with bearings. This new model is equipped with an Infinity Drive structure that is an evolution of that structure. The main shaft, which was previously supported by the pinion gear, has been made non-contact and is supported by a special low-friction bush, significantly reducing the sliding resistance of the main shaft. In addition, a special surface treatment has been applied to the main shaft itself, successfully reducing friction even further. The rotational torque has been reduced by approximately 30% compared to the conventional model*, evolving into a powerful reel that can actively wind even under high load.

HAGANE gear provides strength, smoothness and lightnes
The gears, which are essential for rotation, have evolved from the conventional zinc die-cast to precision cold-forged HAGANE gears. The hard and resilient HAGANE gears not only improve strength, but also reduce stress under high loads by providing a smooth rotational feel with micron-level precision. In addition, the gears themselves are lighter than zinc die-cast gears, and the newly adopted aluminum handle has a synergistic effect that contributes to a weight reduction of approximately 10%.

High-durability carbon cross washer that is safe even when dealing with unexpected large fish
Drag performance is an important factor in the harsh saltwater game. The 21 Spheros SW improves durability by changing the drag washer from felt to carbon cloth with excellent abrasion and heat resistance. The reliable washer, which is also installed in Shimano's large spinning reels, responds instantly to the unexpected running of a large fish with a smooth initial movement and maintains stable drag performance even during long fights.

Precision cold forged HAGANE gears
By changing from zinc die-cast gears to precision cold-forged HAGANE gears, the strength has increased. In addition, the weight of the gear itself is lighter, which contributes to the weight reduction of the reel. It is ideal for harsh SW scenes.

Carbon Cross Washer
Made of a material with excellent resistance to wear and heat, this is a reliable washer that is installed on Shimano's large spinning reels. It can handle even unexpected large fish.

Screw-in handle
Like the higher-end models, it uses a screw-in handle fixing structure, allowing for direct winding without any play.
