The design of each tooth surface of the gear teeth has been reviewed in pursuit of the ideal tooth shape. We have also achieved reduced noise and improved smooth gear feel.

X-Ship
Larger diameter drive gear, optimal positioning of both pinion and drive gears, two-point support by pinion gear bearings. The meshing of these robust gears maintains light reeling that is resistant to load.

Silent Drive

The basic design of the entire body and each drive-related part have been reviewed one by one, and minute rattles, gaps, and vibrations between parts have been thoroughly eliminated down to the smallest detail. The areas subject to improvement are wide-ranging, including the drive gear, worm shaft, worm shaft pin, worm shaft gear, and sliding gear. Magnum Light Rotor
Reduced rotational inertia and strengthened rotor rigidity.
The Magnum Light Rotor adopts an asymmetric rotor structure to achieve an unprecedented level of rotational lightness in pursuit of improved operability and sensitivity. In addition, the line roller has been made lighter, the veil has been made titanium, and the rotor thickness has been optimally positioned to successfully reduce rotational inertia.

X Protect
Shimano's ironclad waterproof structure.
For small and medium-sized general-purpose and casting spinning reels that require lighter rotation, we have focused on a non-contact structure so as not to impair the lightness of rotation. In addition to the conventional water-repellent treatment, a labyrinth structure that prevents water from entering has been combined to achieve high waterproof performance while being non-contact. It is used in the stopper bearing section, line roller section, etc.

G Free Body
The sliding functional parts that move the spool back and forth are placed on the top of the reel body, and we have succeeded in bringing the center of gravity of the entire reel closer to the hand. This improves the sense of unity with the rod, reduces fatigue caused by casting, and improves rod operability.

AR-C Spool
A spool with a special spool ring shape. This creates a line straightening effect, achieving both suppression of line trouble and long-distance casting performance.

Rigid Support Drag
By supporting the spool at two points, the main shaft and the bearings inside the spool, it suppresses spool wobble and provides stable and smooth drag performance.

Rapid Fire Drag
The drag force changes greatly with the number of rotations of the drag knob, making this a very effective function in situations where you want to instantly adjust the drag, such as when you want to stop a fish around a structure or when a fish suddenly dives at your feet.

S A-RB
By applying a special rust-proofing treatment to the bearing itself, its durability against rust has been greatly improved. The S A-RB further seals the sides with a rust-proofing material, significantly reducing salt jamming caused by salt recrystallization inside the bearing.

One-piece Veil
