HAGANE gear, X-SHIP, HAGANE body, and core protect. The new Larissa debuts with the core features of Shimano reel technology. The body has been made 10g lighter (compared to the 2500DHG), making it easier to handle. The side hold handle also improves portability. By increasing the number of bearings and using parts with super water-repellent technology in the line roller, we have achieved smoother rotation performance. In addition, the adoption of HAGANE gear with precision cold forging technology has led to the new lineup of extra high gear specifications XG. It provides more comfortable support for long-distance casting and long drifting.

HAGANE gear
Our goal was to provide an unchanging winding feel.
A metal lump is pressed under high pressure and finished with micron-level precision without cutting. The unique technology known as precision cold forging produces hard, tenacious gears, enabling a smooth winding feel.

X-Ship
Larger diameter drive gear, optimal arrangement of pinion and drive gears, two-point support by pinion gear bearings. These robust gear meshing maintains light and agile reeling that is resistant to loads.

HAGANE Body
By using lightweight and highly rigid metals such as aluminum and magnesium, the reel's flex, distortion, and twisting are firmly suppressed. It protects the delicate gear meshing and enables smooth reeling.

Core Protect
The water repellent treatment creates a water droplet formation effect, which successfully suppresses water intrusion even in the presence of minute gaps. It has been made possible to increase the waterproof effect without increasing rotational resistance. Furthermore, since it is non-contact, the waterproof effect lasts long without wear.

AR-C spool
A spool with a special spool ring shape. This creates a line straightening effect, achieving both line trouble suppression and long-distance casting performance.

SA-RB
By applying a special anti-rust treatment to the bearing itself, the resistance to rust has been greatly improved. The sides of the SAR-B are further sealed with an anti-rust material, greatly reducing salt build-up caused by salt recrystallization inside the bearing.

One-piece veil
We have succeeded in manufacturing a seamless, one-piece molded veil. It looks beautiful and is trouble-free.
