Inshore fishing has surged in popularity in recent years, targeting a wide variety of species such as seabass, bream (including black sea bream), and flatfish like flounder and Japanese sea bass. The SKUAD Inshore Game is a versatile rod series designed with a blank, grip, and guide setting capable of handling this diverse range of targets with ease.

Legit Design’s original blank, primarily constructed with 30t carbon, has been repeatedly tested and refined. Materials are strategically placed to ensure smooth, stress-free wind techniques and optimal performance.

The in-grip joint design preserves the performance of a one-piece blank, allowing anglers to fish comfortably all day—even during repeated wind actions—without any sense of inconsistency.

The reel seat area, where the hand constantly makes contact, features premium high-grade cork that remains slip-resistant even when wet. This ensures stable rod control in harsh conditions such as rain or salt spray.

Fitted with a Fuji TVS reel seat. The slim design enhances grip comfort, significantly improving operability and sensitivity. Additionally, the down-locking mechanism helps prevent the reel foot from loosening, even during aggressive bottom wind actions.

Ideal for bottom wind techniques using jig heads around 10g, topwater fishing for black sea bream, and seabass minnow games. The short length enhances maneuverability, while the primary use of high-modulus carbon delivers outstanding sensitivity.

Although equipped with a delicate tip, the rod features a regular-fast taper that allows it to bend naturally into the belly during casting, lure action, and fights with fish. A defining characteristic of this model is the seamless bend curve from tip to belly. The “L+” action—neither too stiff nor too soft—provides an exceptional casting feel when using lightweight jig heads and light plugs.

The flexible, responsive transition from tip to belly makes it easier to sense the lure’s weight during bottom wind techniques and lift-and-fall presentations with lightweight jig heads, ensuring you don’t miss bites during the fall or at the moment the lure touches bottom. From the belly to the butt section, high-modulus carbon supplies powerful backbone, enabling smooth hooksets and controlled fights.

The rear grip may feel shorter than typical saltwater rods, but it remains fully functional during fights and is carefully adjusted for easy handling while wading or fishing in bulky winter clothing.

This flexible regular-fast taper is not limited to bottom wind techniques—it also performs exceptionally well with pencils, minnows, free rigs, mid-strolling, bottom-strolling, and steady retrieves with jig heads rigged with vibration baits or shad tails.
