The Cobra Head improves buoyancy performance by moderately capturing water at the bottom of the head. With its introduction, slower retrieves have become possible, expanding strategies in light game fishing. By utilizing its buoyancy, lighter weights can effectively create a ‘dead slow’ state on the surface or in shallow areas, allowing for a more thorough appeal to fish. Heavier weights can also be used to slowly attack breaks in deeper waters while making it easier to lift from bottom contact, minimizing disruptions caused by snags. During a curved fall, the combination of head shape and horizontal balance design generates a slightly swaying natural fall action. The hooks penetrate firmly even with light rods and light lines, and we have adopted the large eye ‘Jig 31’ that allows for easy line passage even at night.
