Concept:

The Ayu, gracefully swimming in the clear streams, has long been known as "Koayu" (fragrant fish) due to its refreshing scent. As Ayu swims gracefully in the flow, and when caught, releases its rich aroma, the angler can revel in this beautiful moment. Inspired by this elegant fishing scene, we named the rod "Maika." This rod is designed to offer a refined experience in Ayu lure fishing.

Using barbless hooks in Ayu lure fishing requires a rod that ensures easy hook-setting and reduces the chance of fish slipping off. Our rod features a solid tip and flexible action specifically designed for Ayu lures, maintaining optimal tension to minimize losses.
