With its thick blank, it can cast and retrieve medium to heavy lures like heavy spoons and full-size crankbaits firmly, and handle bottom plugs with an automatic rhythmic shake effortlessly. Additionally, thanks to the slow taper design, the entire rod acts as a cushion, allowing for strong hooksets without deflecting during strong fish fights, making it a medium to heavy-duty all-around model.
