DAIWA Zillion TW 1516XXH
Overview
The biggest advantage of Daiwa's waterproof and durable technology, the Magseal ball bearing, is that it largely eliminates rust and noise from ball bearings and maintains initial performance for a long period of time. All ball bearings, not just those for reels, will lose their rotational performance due to ball wear after a certain period of use. However, conventional ball bearings for reels often become unusable due to salt and rust before the balls wear out. This is completely changed by Magseal. The ball bearings will be able to fulfill their "intrinsic lifespan" without maintenance. In addition, Magseal ball bearings have a non-contact structure in which mag oil fills the small gap between the inner ring and the pole plate, so the rotational resistance is originally very small. When compared to bearings that use rubber packing inside for waterproofing, the difference in the rotational feeling is clear. The smooth rotation with almost zero friction is maintained for a surprisingly long time without special care. It goes without saying how revolutionary this is.
The TWS uses a "turnaround style" in which the T-shaped level wind rotates half a turn depending on whether the clutch is on or off. When casting, the level wind rotates forward, and the line is released smoothly through the wide part of the T-shaped level wind. When retrieving, the level wind rotates half a turn, tilting backwards, and the line is guided into the groove at the bottom of the level wind, and is wound up tight and parallel. While maintaining the features of increased casting distance and trouble-free operation, it also focuses on toughness. The structure of the "turnaround style" is simple and robust. Approach cunning bass further away and directly. And when it comes to fighting, it fights tough and will never lose to any opponent.
