Overview
MAGSEALED BALL BEARING
The biggest advantage of Daiwa's waterproof and durable technology "Mag Sealed Ball Bearing" is that it greatly eliminates rust and abnormal noise of ball bearings and maintains the initial performance for a long time. Not only for reels, but almost all ball bearings will deteriorate in rotation performance due to wear of the balls after a certain period of use. However, conventional ball bearings for reels often become unusable due to salt adhesion and rust before the balls wear out. This changes with Mag Sealed. The ball bearings will be able to fulfill their "original lifespan" without maintenance. In addition, Mag Sealed Ball Bearings have a non-contact structure in which mag oil fills the small gap between the inner ring and the pole plate, so the rotation resistance is very small to begin with. When compared to bearings that use rubber packing inside for waterproofing, the difference in the rotation feeling is clear. The smooth rotation with almost zero friction is maintained for a surprisingly long time without special care. It goes without saying how revolutionary this is.
ATD
A new generation drag system that continues to work smoothly while following the pull of the fish. It starts off smoother than before, so it is less likely to break the line, and it is less likely to make the fish feel uncomfortable, so it is less likely to cause unnecessary violence. In addition, the unique stickiness of the operation reduces the chance of the fish running away all at once even at low drag settings, and the frequency of drag readjustment during the fight is reduced, allowing you to concentrate on the fight.
TWS (T-Wing System)
A structure in which the T-shaped level wind rotates half a turn back and forth depending on whether the clutch is on or off. When casting, the level wind rotates forward, and the line is released smoothly through the wide part of the T-shaped level wind. When retrieving, the level wind rotates half a turn in a backward direction, and the line is guided into the groove at the bottom of the level wind and wound up tight and parallel. Daiwa's unique level wind system combines line release performance with trouble-free operation.
