DAIWA 18 Ryoga 1016L-CC
Overview
The tough and strong RYOGA is reborn. The new housing is made lighter and more flexible with unique precision machine cuts on the RYOGA-specific ultra-high rigidity, high-precision machine cut super metal housing, and is designed for palming performance. The reeling sensitivity surpasses all previous fishing. Underwater obstacles are clearly detected, and the story of catching a big bass becomes a reality. This is the "DR (Detective Rotation)" design, a new design concept that pursues "reeling" sensitivity. The Crazy Cranker model, which is ideal for reeling, is the true essence of the new RYOGA. In addition, it features mag-shielded ball bearings that protect against rust, and ATD (with clicking sound). The cutting edge of DAIWA round reels that are also suitable for saltwater is here.
MAGSEALED BALL BEARING
Using its unique technology, DAIWA has succeeded in turning ball bearings into mag-shields for the first time in the world. The magnetic liquid barrier prevents water and foreign matter from entering the ball bearing, maintaining the original rotational performance of the ball bearing while significantly eliminating rust, salt buildup, and abnormal noise.
HYPER MESH GEAR SYSTEM
This next-generation gear and housing system was born from Daiwa's pride and joy, using its strong gear material and the ample durability provided by the full super metal housing support. We have succeeded in ensuring 1.5 times more gear meshing than before. Improved meshing also leads to improved durability, allowing the palm to grip the reel without exerting force, even when reeling in heavy loads, enabling smooth and light handling.
ATD
The ATD operates smoothly and keeps working smoothly in response to the pull of the fish. It pursues smooth start and tracking, allowing you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about the drag setting.
MAGFORCE V/Z
The brake system works by using the inductor rotor, which slides smoothly using centrifugal force according to the spool rotation speed, to apply the brakes only to the backlash zone in the first half of the cast, and extend to release the brakes in the second half.
SPEED SHAFT
The shaft system that connects the spool and the gear has been eliminated, eliminating the need for a shaft that directly connects to the gear as in the conventional spool structure. The spool is only supported by the bottom bracket, making it lightweight and without extra load. This achieves both ideal spool rotation when casting and excellent power when winding.
ZERO ADJUSTER
First, adjust the "zero adjuster" and set it to "zero spool backlash." Thanks to the evolution of the magnetic brake, it is now possible to control all lures with just the mag dial.
The "zero adjuster" is a mechanism that allows you to enjoy fishing comfortably without malfunctioning while fishing by adjusting it to the "zero setting" before starting fishing.
The "zero spool backlash" setting is the maximum setting that does not push the spool, while leaving a slight backlash (about 0.2 mm).
High-Grip I-Shape Light Knob
The new high-grip I-shape light knob was developed to be as thin as possible and to provide a grip that feels like it sticks to your fingers.
G1 Duralumin MAG FORCE Z SPOOL
The ultra-lightweight and ultra-high-precision "G1 Duralumin Magforce Z" spool, now installed in the new RYOGA, maintains high rotation speeds and provides excellent extension in the latter half of the stroke. The low trajectory extension during pitching is also excellent.
