DAIWA 16 Crest 2508H
Overview

The reel has a new, lightweight body, durable and reliable. Also, the internal mechanisms of the reel have been improved.

ABSII
"Anti-Backlash System" or "ABS" for short is Daiwa's unique spool structure that releases the line without any trouble and increases casting distance. By making the winding surface large-diameter and tapered, the diameter becomes wider as it approaches the knob, making it harder for the line to be pushed out from the front of the spool, dramatically reducing line troubles such as backlash (a trouble phenomenon in which the line comes out in a clump). In addition, large-diameter spools, which are now commonplace, also contribute to improving winding speed and drag performance.

Digigear
Digigear has succeeded in completely digitizing the drive gear tooth surface shape, which was once thought to be impossible. With digital analysis and ultra-high density processing technology, the evolved Digigear achieves smoother and more powerful rotation and sustained rotation performance.

Cross Wrap
Accurate winding is an important factor in reducing line trouble. "Cross Wrap" is a winding method with a large winding angle, which crosses the line to prevent it from digging into the spool winding section or slipping. This method significantly reduces line troubles, especially when using thin or PE lines, and at the same time allows for comfortable line release.

Twist Buster II
Throw and reel. This action is inevitable when fishing with a reel. The "line twist" that occurs when you release and reel the line many times a day can cause various problems. For example, the line gets tangled on the tip of the rod or various parts of the reel, the twist gets caught in the guide, reducing the casting distance, and the line getting tangled from the spool. In 1995, Daiwa developed the "Twist Buster" to significantly reduce this troublesome line tangle. This function, which was a groundbreaking development at the time, significantly reduced "line twist". Crest is equipped with the "Twist Buster II", an evolution of the Twist Buster. It is even more effective.
