"Rafter" means raft in English. This rod, which originated from the Kumano River, the source of the Kii Mountain Range, is named after the traditional industry of "rafting" that has been practiced for over 600 years in the Kumano River system. The currents of the great rivers are strong and powerful. The trout living in them are robust and put up vigorous fights.
