The body is made of a ZAION frame and side plates to ensure rigidity, and the rotation performance has been refined with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN.
In addition, a new spool shape has been adopted to prevent line tangles, assuming the use of thin PE lines. This reduces line tangles, which are the enemy of IC reels. When combined with lightweight rod models such as Emeraldas and Gekka Bijin, the TIERRA AIR IC achieves a total weight of just under 200g.
When used with squid metal or baitcasting, this lightness significantly improves sensitivity and operability, allowing you to concentrate on interacting with the fish.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN
The next-generation design concept for bait (double-axis) reels, which significantly improves the standard of all basic performance with the aim of maintaining high initial performance for a long time. The Hyper Drive Design is composed of up to four technologies. Hyper Double Support, which requires the Hyper Drive Digigear to maintain smooth rotation for a long time and assists the gear drive to provide strong and light winding. Hyper Armed Housing, which strongly supports the internal structure and is less likely to bend or distort. HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
A newly designed gear system that pursues sustained strong and smooth rotation. This is DAIWA's unique technology that achieves an increased meshing rate without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, allowing the initial smoothness to be maintained for a long time.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT
A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and strong, light winding. Both ends of the pinion gear are supported with two ball bearings with high precision, allowing for strong, light winding even under load without attenuating the input from the handle.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
Not only does this clutch system have crisp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times, but it also has extremely few problems even in highly saline seawater. This cutting-edge insulation structure has already reduced the number of repairs due to sticking in harsh saltwater environments by 99% compared to our previous model.

ZAION
DAIWA has succeeded in molding a special resin with high density carbon fiber woven into it, which is extremely difficult to process, using its own technology. This is the pinnacle of DAIWA carbon material, combining incredible lightness and strength. Only top models are allowed to wear this performance.

ATD
A new generation drag system that continues to work smoothly while smoothly following the pull of the fish. It starts off smoother than before, so it is less likely to break the line, and it is less likely to make the fish feel uncomfortable, so it is less likely to cause unnecessary violence.
The ATD system achieves smooth operation while increasing the drag maximum to 6 kg. It can easily handle fights without releasing the drag. The drag pull sound is set to be loud while maintaining smoothness.

Due to the nature of baitcasting reels, the possibility of line tangles is particularly high when using thin PE lines. The TIERRA AIR IC uses a spool shape (steps on both ends of the line winding surface) that is used in baitcasting finesse models for PE only, reducing the possibility of line tangles. This allows you to use thin PE lines with greater peace of mind.
