DAIWA Silver Creek Glass Progressive 48UL-G・4
Overview
SVF GLASS is adopted in the new realm of glass rods, Silver Creek.
Using the same technology as SVF (Super Volume Fiber) carbon, the resin amount is reduced, and the glass fibers are densely arranged. As a result, compared to conventional glass rods, it is lighter and has reduced casting inertia. However, during fishing, it takes advantage of the unique flexibility of glass rods to follow the movements of the fish without losing them. Additionally, this rod has a rod action specifically designed for use with sinking minnows. Even with a normal retrieve using PE line, it maximizes the lure's swimming action. Furthermore, it allows accurate casting even with lightweight lures in the 2g range. As part of the Silver Creek lineup, this rod features large-diameter guides, ensuring smooth line flow and excellent casting feel. The guides are made with titanium Sic (Silicon Carbide). The rod's design is also meticulous, tailored to facilitate various fishing actions such as casting, action, fighting, and landing. For bait rods, a short trigger-type grip is adopted to facilitate flexible casting using the wrist.
Silver Creek Glass Progressive 46UL-G・4
A multi-piece model with a finely tuned length setting for easy handling. It combines lightweight SVF glass with carbon composite, balancing the flexibility of glass with the maneuverability and sensitivity of carbon. With its four-piece design, it enhances portability, making it easy to approach distant or unknown fishing spots. It accommodates a wide range of fishing styles, from retrieving spoons and spinners to fishing sinking minnows.
An emphasis on the reel seat and name section :
A three-ring design with a focus on luxury appearance and functionality (with the middle ring serving as a guide ring).
The name section is designed with a large logo imprint to visually enhance the appearance when photographed together with the fish, landing net, and rod.
A guide setting that allows for smooth line release :
Setting larger guides than usual to ensure excellent line release and achieve accurate casting. Additionally, this prevents line blockages due to guide freezing during unexpected cold spells just after the fishing season opens.
Carefully crafted blank settings :
Throughout the season, we conduct tests to maximize the benefits of glass while ensuring optimal usability without feeling too sluggish. We fine-tune the settings for each model to bring out the unique characteristics of each item.
