This tool tightens the knot at the end to increase its strength and prevent it from slipping out. Simply remove the carabiner and push it out to easily separate the two tightening sticks, which can also be used to cut line when you can't free yourself from a snag. The included carabiner allows for easy attachment to a bag, life jacket, or other item, and the bar is made of high-strength TPE material. The aluminum-bodied Line Stick 125 is compatible with up to PE4. The lightweight and compact Line Stick 100 is compatible with up to PE1.5.
*When using, wrap the line tightly in a spiral at least six times.

When tightening a knot
Wrap the PE line and leader around the pipe and pull with moderate force to tighten the knot and confirm its strength.
*When tying PE line to a knot, tightening it with your bare hands will only provide about half the line's strength.

When cutting a root snag
Wrap it around the outer pipe and pull to cut the root snag. *If you need to cut the line after getting snagged on a rock, holding the reel spool while cutting may cause unexpected damage to the reel.

Use it as is to cut the line when snagged on a rock. Simply remove the carabiner and push out the inner section to separate the two pipes, which can then be used as a tightening tool.

Wrap the PE line tightly around the outer section and the leader around the inner section in a spiral pattern of at least six wraps, ensuring no overlaps. Make sure the lines do not slip, then pull with moderate force to tighten.
